September 2nd: Request for Proposals - Sealed proposals will be received by Sayre Borough of Bradford County, Pa., 18840 until 12:00 PM, on September 14, 2010 at which time they will be opened and read aloud in the Council Chambers in Sayre Borough Hall. Proposal is for approximately 9,290 SY of surface milling. Furnish and place approximately 272 Tons of 19.0 mm Bituminous Binder Course, and approximately 1,048 Tons of 9.5 mm Bituminous Wearing Course. Detailed Information packet regarding this RFP is available at Borough of Sayre, 110 W Packer Ave, Suite 3, Sayre Pa., during normal business hours.

September 2nd: The Borough of Sayre, Bradford County, PA is accepting sealed bids for the sale of one (1) 2002 Ford Crown Victoria Sedan and one (1) 2005 Ford Crown Victoria Sedan until 12:15P.M. on September 14, 2010 at which point all bids received will be opened and read aloud. Vehicle information and bid forms will be available in the Administration Office, 110 W. Packer Ave., Sayre, PA, 18840 during normal business hours Monday through Friday. The Borough of Sayre reserves the right to accept or reject any and all bids.

September 2nd: Request for Bids - Sayre Borough is requesting sealed bids for: Bridge Deck Joint Replacement and Concrete Substructure Repairs to the Bridge located on Packer Avenue over Lehigh Avenue and Norfolk Southern Railroad, Sayre Borough, Bradford County, Pennsylvania. Bid documents can be obtained through Larson Design Group. Interested parties are required to register on Larson's website for the ability to view and/or acquire bid documents for this project.

August 20th: Notice is hereby given that the September regular meeting of the Borough of Sayre Council has been rescheduled from September 16, 2010 to September 23, 2010 at 6:00 p.m. in the Council Chambers of the Sayre Borough Hall, 110 W. Packer Avenue, Sayre, Pennsylvania. Any person with a disability requiting a special accommodation to attend a meeting should notify the Borough Administration Office at 570-888-7739, as early as possible, but not later than three days prior to a meeting. July 9th: The street sweeping season is underway. See schedule for routes and times.

July 9th: The Department of Public Works continues it seasonal yard waste collection. The schedule will be:

- Zone 1: 1st Friday of the month.

- Zone 2: 2nd Friday of the month.

- Zone 3: 3rd Friday of the month.

Leaves and other yard waste must be bagged or placed in containers for collection. Tree limbs and brush clippings must be cut into four (4) foot lengths and bundled.

July 9th: The Recycling and Composting Center is open as follows:

- Monday: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

- Wednesday: 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM.

- Saturday: 8:00 PM to 3:00 PM.

Weather
