What Can You Recycle at curbside?
– containers must have 1’s and 2’s codes;
NEWSPAPERS. – Bundle and keep dry. You can include inserts and advertisements that come with your newspapers. MAGAZlNES. – bundle and keep dry. GLASS. – Clear, green, and brown glass only. TIN/BIMETAL/ALUMINUM. – Separate steel (e.g., food cans) from aluminum (e.g., beverage cans). CARDBOARD. – We accept corrugated boxes and Kraft paper bags only. The Borough has set up a distribution area there where residents can load their own compost. Compost is not available to contractors and it cannot be loaded with a bucket loader. The compost distribution area will be filled periodically and it is available free of charge.
The Recycling and Compost Facility at Sayre's Department of Public Works will observe its SUMMER SCHEDULE effective Monday, April 5th, as follows:
